WHAT IS CARROS DE FOC?

Carros de Foc is one of the most iconic mountain traverses in the Pyrenees. It takes place within the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, connecting the mountain refuges that surround this spectacular natural area.

Its origins date back to the summer of 1987, when the wardens of the park’s mountain huts began visiting each other by walking the entire perimeter in a single day. These informal routes spontaneously gave rise to the name Carros de Foc, an expression that would eventually come to identify one of Europe’s great high-mountain traverses.

Today, Carros de Foc is a unique experience that allows you to discover stunning landscapes of glacial lakes, peaks, forests, and valleys, linking mountain refuges over several stages. It’s an essential route for those who want to experience the essence of the Pyrenees and enjoy the mountains in their purest form.

Pass’Aran CROSS-BORDER CROSSING BETWEEN THE ARAN VALLEY AND THE ARIÈGE

The Pass’Aran is a spectacular circular high-mountain route that connects the Aran Valley with the French side of the Couserans mountain range in Ariège, crossing the Pyrenees. This cross-border route traverses five mountain passes above 2,400 meters and offers the opportunity to summit majestic peaks such as Maubèrme (2,880 m), Barlonguèra (2,802 m), Monte Valier (2,838 m), and Crabèra (2,838 m). During the trek—which we will complete in five stages with overnight stays in staffed mountain huts—we will discover the area’s typical architecture, with old farmhouses and stone walls that tell stories of bygone eras, and immerse ourselves in landscapes of great beauty, including alpine meadows, glacial lakes, and lush Atlantic forests. In the valleys and mountains of the Pass’Aran, once inhabited by shepherds, miners, and smugglers, you won’t find any roads, forest tracks, or busy paths: only pure, wild mountain terrain. With a demanding itinerary and significant elevation gain, this route is only recommended for people in good physical condition with prior experience in hiking.

MULLERES TOUR CROSSES BETWEEN CATALONIA AND ARAGON WITH ASCENT TO A TRES THOUSAND

A route along the border between Catalonia and Aragon, a privileged viewpoint overlooking the northern slopes of Aneto. The route of the young and demanding, yet already popular, Molières Marathon, adapted into a 3-stage trek. Enjoy it with your group outside of race day, accompanied by a professional guide and photographer. We’ll depart from Vielha and pass through one of the most unique spots in the Aran Valley, Els Uelhs deth Joeu, before reaching our first refuge. The route will become increasingly alpine as we ascend to the valley’s highest point before arriving at the second refuge where we’ll stay. On the third and final day, we’ll follow old border paths and return to Vielha via the route taken by our ancestors before the tunnel was built.

A unique and explosive route that will leave you speechless.
